Traditional Pound Cake
This tender and delicious pound cake is great for any occasion, and can be used in a variety of applications

- 1 lb Butter soft
- 2 c white sugar
- 1 c brown sugar
- 6 eggs room temperature
- 4 c flour
- 1 c milk room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp kosher salt
Preheat the oven to 350°
Line two 9" loaf pans with parchment, or grease your bundt pan liberally.
In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugars on medium low for 5 minutes, or until light and fluffy
Gradually add in the eggs one at a time, allowing each egg to fully incorporate before adding another
Add the vanilla and salt
Add ⅓ of the flour, and once it is mostly incorporated, add ⅓ of the milk. Repeat this step two more times.
Pour your batter into your prepared pans
Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a testing skewer comes out cleanly, and the top of the cakes are firmed.
